Mimi's Rock

Meet the team behind Mimi's Rock.

Chief Executive Officer & DIRECTOR

I may be the luckiest guy I know. Great Family – check. Great Team at work – check. Great friend network – check.

Now, following a long run with a leading pharmaceutical company, I’ve moved into the dietary supplement business. I have the privilege of leading a group of passionate individuals looking to make a difference in the Health and Wellness space. I’m impressed daily by their creativity and energy. And when I’m not having fun at work, you can find me chasing one of my many, disparate interests. I also love to be active. Golf, hiking, cycling, running, the gym or just hanging out outdoors. So give me a call if you want to discuss any of these areas, but WARNING: if you’re a Dallas Cowboys or Montreal Canadiens fan, I may not pick up your call!

Raised in England, via Mississauga, and a five-year stint in San Diego, I now live in Oakville with my two kids, wife, and dog.  As a Londoner in my youth, I grew to love the beautiful game and still holding on as a player, I am hopeful any of my teams (Arsenal, Bills and Raptors) will finally win one.  Love to talk obscure sports trivia or engage in heated debates on meaningless topics. Happiest on the pitch, I also have a soft spot for wine gums or a good burrito. Philosophically, I am a big believer in karma – you reap what you sow – and so…you do what you can to make the world a better place.

As a lifelong Toronto sports fan, I’ve spent most of my life suffering. 1967 was well before my time and celebrating in my parent’s basement in 92/93 wasn’t that exciting. The good news is, “this is the year”, right? I once told my wife I would disappear for 2 weeks if the Maple Leafs ever won the Stanley Cup, but now I’m not so sure that would fly. Along our journey together, we ended up with 2 awesome kids. As great as they are, most times they make me want to pull out all of my hair. Lucky for me, I don’t have any and I like it this way. I really do.

I embrace change, love new challenges, and am passionate about growing new businesses. Feel free to drop me a line at any time. I’d love to hear from you.

Vice President
Digital Marketing & Business Development

As the founder of one of Canada’s leading organic skin care companies, I had so much fun fostering the All-Natural Advice Skin Care Co. from a local brand to a global company.  Always learning from great people around me, from a great 25-year career in banking, I am now thrilled to be part of the Mimi’s Rock team. Family is always number one, but a close second is my passion for Canadian Football and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.  Little known fact, while in University I used to be the “TC” mascot at events to help pay for school. Oskee Wee Wee !

senior director of marketing

Born and raised in the SIX (416) Toronto, Canada, I’m a city girl who loves being in nature. Rocks, crystals and all things health and wellness are my passion. Home and family are where my heart is, along with my dog Milo and two (plus one more) cats to make our home complete.

An innovative marketing professional, with a successful career spanning over 20 years in creating marketing strategies and integrated communication plans, I’ve held executive roles in the financial services and health and wellness industries. My expertise lies in building strong business growth plans, thought leadership positioning and impactful digital marketing strategies to increase brand reputation and profitability.

Director Ecommerce & Advertising

Oakville, Victoria (BC), Exeter (England), and Toronto have all been places I’ve called home. Having visited 18 countries and counting, I truly believe that the only way to experience life is to immerse yourself in other communities. I believe Thai food and Netflix is the perfect way to spend a Friday night and that you cannot go wrong if peanut M&Ms are included. I love the sweet and salty mix of scrambled eggs and Jam. I consider giraffes to be the most majestic animals on the planet – they get to see the whole world from above. I am a huge sports fanatic – you’ll catch me in front of any hockey, football, or baseball game on TV screaming with the best of them.

A born and bred east ender, I have lived my entire life in Toronto’s Durham Region. I take that back, I did venture out to London, Ontario for 5 years where I studied at the University of Western, Ontario. With a Double Major in Biology and Physiology and a post graduate certificate in pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs, I naturally kick started my career off in Marketing – go figure. As much as I love what I do, my true passion in life is a full body, full glass of Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. Actually, I’m not picky, it doesn’t have to be from California! When not sipping a glass of my favourite red, I can be found at the cottage or local dog park with my husband and dog, Joey. Trust me, the two of them keep me quite busy. I’m excited to be on this journey at Mimi’s Rock and look forward to what the future has to hold.

Manager - Commercial Operations

Three cats, two busy boys, 1 Raptors NBA Championship and a long professional career in the pharmaceutical industry, I am fortunate to now be in the health and wellness space doing what I love.

My passion for health and wellness can be traced back to my youthful days as a track and field star. I’ve been on a path to living life well from the beginning. Outside of the office, you’ll find me outdoors camping in the wilderness, fishing for the biggest Bass, trying to keep up with my young boys in a competitive basketball game or pretending to be an avid golfer. I am a loyal Toronto sports fan, aspiring traveler, enthusiastic foodie and a self-proclaimed comedian. If you challenge me to a Netflix binge watching session, I will win!

Overtime, life experiences and wisdom have made me a firm believer that when one door closes, there are always, other, unlimited number of doors that open. The world is full of new opportunities, and I’m thrilled to be on this exciting journey with Mimi’s Rock!

digital brand manager

As a first-generation Canadian born in Toronto to Polish parents, I’m lucky to have grown up in a family that embraced both Canadian and Polish traditions. Picture Hockey Night in Canada with a side of pickles, kielbasa and perogies.

Prior to joining the Mimi’s Rock team, I worked at the City of Vaughan and a non-profit organization as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator.

Fitness, technology and dogs are a few of my favourite things. With a passion for content creation and a keen eye for aesthetics, I’m thrilled to incorporate my interests and skills into my career.

Financial Analyst

Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, I grew up in a Portuguese household. Growing up with an identical twin brother, everything was always a competition, including sports, school and personal lives. After work, you can almost always find me hanging out with friends, watching Netflix or listening to music. Prior to joining Mimi’s Rock as a Financial Analyst, I graduated from Wilfred Laurier University with a bachelor’s degree in business.

Born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, I’m a die-hard Raptors fan, an all-around “fun guy”, with a passion for basketball and all things Toronto. Considering the amount of Raptors games I’ve seen live or on TV, Scotiabank Arena is practically my second home! When I’m not cheering on the boys, or in my feelings listening to Drake, I love to travel, try my hand at cooking innovative recipes, creating Spotify playlists, and cozying up on the couch to watch Scorsese and Tarantino movies. If I could only have one meal for life, it would be a perfectly grilled steak with its accoutrements, and a bottle of red wine to match. Professionally, I’m a big believer in maintaining a strong work ethic, collaborative teamwork, and fostering a great work environment. I’m really looking forward to growing with Mimi’s Rock and creating process improvements and efficiencies throughout the supply chain!

Managing Director - DTI gmbh

Grown up in Hamburg in the turbulent and charming 60s & 70s, I appreciate the clear and understanding way of thinking in North Germany, with its typical dry (aged) humor that is nearly British-black. No wonder, that I, as an adolescent, have devoured Anglo-Saxon literature (e.g. Roald Dahl, Douglas Adams, John Irving and John Steinbeck).

Nowadays, I like to devour an excellent Italian meal, too. My longtime significant other from St. Petersburg and I enjoy searching and finding a special side dish to a delicate Scaloppine in our local forests: mushrooms (Porcini mushrooms and Chanterelles). Delicious! Our ten-year-old grandchild is the most eager finder – no wonder, she is a Girl Guide!

In the forests you can find peaceful silence and relaxation, too. I learned that Germans and Russians have one thing in common – enjoying mushrooms! Projected on my profession it would be my job to check at what location we were successful and whether our efforts have paid off. This can be a pleasurable task. One of the most beautiful things in life is that humans can complement each other. It’s great to be part of a single-minded and forward-thinking team.

Born in Germany, Hamburg is my hometown. Raised close to the second biggest river in Germany, the famous harbour and river activities play a huge role in my life. Usually during summer, you can see me in my free time swimming, surfing or doing other kinds of water sport activities. I love to explore all sort of new cultures and countries from all over the world and try traditional dishes. Or typical dishes. Or dishes in general. Besides cheese – that’s my personal kryptonite, I’m a coffee lover, so I’m always happy when I get a good cup of hot coffee. Since Hamburg is my home, I frequently enjoy going to one of the many available concerts, musicals or just grabbing a bike and enjoying the beautiful city!

I love learning new things with passion and also winning contests. I am a former IT professional who came back home to my Yoga practice that I loved and started with my mom while I was going to school. This led to teaching Yoga which has been a rewarding home-based business especially while I was raising my kids. Later, I took up Indian classical music and drumming in my 40’s and since that wasn’t dangerous enough, I learned how to ride a motorcycle at 50 and got my licence. Did I mention contests? I won my car, a trip to Mexico, movies for a year and a nice ultralight laptop! I love to travel now, attend yoga retreats and swim with sea turtles. I love animals, and we have more pets than people in our home: a German Shepherd, a Cockatiel, 2 guinea pigs (both rescues) and an Old German Owl Pigeon.

Born and raised on the edge of a small town along the Trans Canada Railway in Northern Ontario, I grew up surrounded by forest and imaginary friends.  To this day, I find solace in the sound of the wind blowing through the trees and the crisp northern air chilling my nostrils.  Music and nature are my drugs of choice.  There is nothing better than sitting on the side of a small lake, guitar in hand, watching the sunset.  Don’t get me wrong, I am addicted to the hustle and bustle of the city and love being immersed in new and exciting cultural experiences.  Now living in Downtown Toronto, I am grateful to share these experiences with real (non-imaginary) friends. It’s the balance of extremes that keeps life interesting.

Calling Nova Scotia my home, I am your east coast connection. I wouldn’t be a true Maritimer if I didn’t love the ocean. I’m a firm believer that a little sand between the toes takes away all the woes. What the sea can’t heal, I deal with on my yoga mat. Namaste.

My ultimate goal in life is to live in a cedar shake cottage right on the beach, looking out over the most beautiful Atlantic Ocean. I could swim by day and eat lobster and drink fine wine by night. A girl can dream, right?!

When the sun isn’t shining, I can usually be found with a book in my hands and I love a good game of Scrabble on a rainy day. I may also be a sucker for really awful reality TV…

Bad tv taste aside, I am dedicated to being a lifelong learner. I have a degree in History, Sociology, and Education. Knowledge is as vast as the ocean and the older I get, the more I realize I don’t know. I’m currently working on a Masters degree in Technology.
